About Us

Bishop Lenley Newland hails from Jamaica. He was born in Duanvale, a small district in the parish of Trelawny located in the county of Cornwall in northwest Jamaica. His journey towards enlightenment began at an early age. From his childhood, Bishop Newland was a regular attendee at Sunday school. He grew up learning the acts and teachings of the gospel at the New Testament Church of God. The exposure to the religious wisdom during boyhood marked the beginning of the lifelong relationship that Bishop Newland soon developed with the Lord.

At a time when most teenagers are struggling with societal, psychological, and behavioral problems and questioning their purpose in life, Bishop Newland already seemed to have discovered his true calling. He had developed a strong personal relationship with Christ by 1973. At that point, he was just eighteen years old. As he started visiting the church more often, his pastor realized he was destined to contribute towards the greater good. He figured Bishop Newland had the potential to be a minister someday and, therefore, in 1974, the pastor appointed Bishop Newland as an Assistant Pastor at one of the local churches in the district. Bishop Newland’s appointment as an Assistant Pastor signified the official start of a ministry experience that continues till date, over 46 years later.

His service has taken him to different parts of the world, where he got the chance to preach the message of the Lord to large groups of audiences. He has led worship and performed priestly functions in different areas across Europe and America while teaching the doctrine to people of all ages and backgrounds at the same time. In the initial years of his long journey as an ordained minister, Bishop Newland served as a local youth leader and evangelist in the New Testament Church of God in his home country in Jamaica. From there, he gradually extended his outreach to nearby overseas territories. He responsibly fulfilled his duties as Pastor and District Bishop for various churches and became the National Evangelist Cayman Islands and Jamaica.

After performing these central roles in the Caribbean for nearly 15 years, Bishop Newland decided to move to a bigger country so he could educate even more people and help them discover and connect with their substantial essence.

He traveled to the United Kingdom in 1989 and went on to serve the New Testament Church of God in similar capacities. He held different offices and positions within the church. In Wales and England, he continued serving faithfully as the National Evangelist for nearly six and half years. He was also ordained as Pastor and District Bishop in different parts of the UK. Given his educational background and ministry experience, he was appointed Evangelist Director as well.
